fast forward on the sanding and priming, I have coloured the kit over the weekend. Now waiting for the time to do the bottom grey

Thanks! hmm.. I did it free hand, using diluted gunze lacquer paints from the bottle. For first round i went with a 0.3mm to get the rough shapes, without too much diluted. For the final nice nice feathered edge I set the air pressure a bit higher, then diluted the paint more, about 60% thinner 40 paint, i don;t like it too thin and watery. Adjust until the paint comes out fine enough. Sorry as much of my airbrushing is agar agar, I don't really work by PSI, % dilution etc, its all gut feeling.
