Advance Modelling Syndrome..... Are you suffering from it???
AMS - Advanced Modeling Syndrome - A debilitating affliction that enhances a modeler's inability to complete a model kit. The root causes are many but typically can be traced back to references that illustrate corrections to available kits, e.g., five lug nuts on a car wheel vice the kit's six; 14 rivets on an aircraft rudder vice the kit's 20, mis-placed details in a cockpit, etc. All these little things will trip-up a modeler, driving his or her production levels to near zero and leaving them in a melancholy stupor...
(The above from IPMS/LVSM)
I guess not much for sci-fi unless, true blue fan boys... but then we dont find them here anyway....
So are you a sufferer?? Me? Not sure...... Part AMS???
OT.. AMS also means Acute Mountain Sickness (Acute mountain sickness is an illness that can affect mountain climbers, hikers, skiers, or travelers who ascend too rapidly to high altitude (typically above 8,000 feet or 2,400 meters). This is especially for persons who normally reside at or near sea level.)

I have AMS, and I loving it
But I don't AMS all the time. It's very time consuming and expensive to do research and detailing on all models. Some model I build out of box provided it looks decent enough.
Snake ....I dun like snakes.

G-man Wrote:I certainly DO NOT suffer from it cos I am a lazy modeler.
Me too... i tend to live with tiny mistakes... esp decals, when they come in pairs for marking symmetry, if i wreck one, i'll juz leave the other twin out.
Other things also include seamlines in hard to see areas, chipped paint that i juz patch up with a very close enamel equivalent and sand flat... etc. etc.
