Gunning it (A-10 Thunderbolt II)
After 2 weeks of clean desk/modeling table, I thought I can relax for a bit.

But my modding stuff for my PC was still not here and after seeing the awesome A-10 in Terminator Salvation. I had to build it.Scratchhead-hard

In 2 weeks. For the Airfix Cup. There is a high chance I won't make it. But then, nobody gets hurt by trying anyway.

After day 2, this is the progress. Trying NOT to AMS too much... This is the Hobbyboss kit (1/48). With the exception of the cockpit, the kit sucks. Miles from the Japanese kit standards.

Today is day 3. Stay tuned.boyrun

How does it suck? I was quite interested in getting an updated 1/48 hog kit. I have an old Tamiya one in the stash somewhere. Someone recomended the Italeri kit released a couple of years ago, it looked pretty clean but does not have alot of goodies that the hobby boss kit gives.

I ish collector not hoarder!

The kit is loaded with mold release, I can feel it. Very dirty molding lines. Sloppy details. Inaccurate/vague instructions.

What goodies are you talking about? The rubber tires? Frankly, it's gimmicky and useless. I'd rather they give me plastic tires anyday.

Actually, deadlines and modeling don't mix well...Em01

Short of getting a resin cockpit, I'd say your mods for the cockpit are sufficient already.
Scratch-built cushion sidewalls....wow. Big-eyes

Sometimes a deadline is what I need to revive a dead project Lol

I'd sooner spend my own money helping new modellers than to spend at an undeserving shop.

Yeah, got to keep in control. Deadline. Deadline. Deadline. Scratchhead-hard

Also closing the canopy so hope won't be detailing much more already. Hope.

Great mods in the cockpit there! Watching this build with much interest as I have one in the stash.

Just wondering, what markings are you going to use?
