We are considering a group build and would like everyone's opinion on which genre they prefer. This will be a group build that DOES NOT include Gunpla or any anime based model kits like Macross etc.

To simplify matters, MOST aircraft WW2 and before are propellers while most of those AFTER ww2 are jets BUT there are of course exceptions to the rule. Eg - Me-262 was a jet used at the closing stages of WW2 as was the Gloster Meteor F Mk.1 and after the war, there was the Korean war and Vietnam war which still saw rather extensive use of propeller planes like the P-51 Mustang, A-1 Skyraider amongst others. Even till today, several propeller aircraft see widespread world service, a fine example being the C-130 in several variants. Good luck to anyone wanting to model that in 1/72. I just hope you have LOTS of space.
