Hi Guys, Will need to buy comp for my coming workshop. Although I have an old Sil Air comp, but it only can go up to max 40psi and will never shut down. Blood0ni

Therefore this comp will only be for my personal use and I will need one to cater to at least 2 or 4 user in one go. I have 2 alternatives and the first one is to maybe buy 2 second hand Sil Air comp for the job while the other is the fish pump comp which can use for 4 user according to sources.

The one recommended to me is the model 80 which is twice as powerful as the one in Archtung Hobby. Now I need to know if there is anyone using the fish Pump comp at home and does it works? Will there be any moisture issues as the workshop is not air-con? Lastly, can this thing supply enough pressure for 4 user at the same time?

Thanks for all answers n help in advance.
Dunno about the model 80 that u are talking about, but my friend is using the nakamoto version. Can't be used for 2 persons unless you're prepared for weak power (I used very thick paint). Cold0wj

I guess the paints will need to thin down to extremely thin when using the comp. Thanks for your info anyway. Em58
HP 80 is double the capacity of naka's model. naka's comp can support up to 4 Airbrush no problem if requirement is ard 10~15 psi best example is in the shop.

im using the HP 40, moisture is not a problem as the comp produce very little water. Tried on a rainy day so far no merlion.Em58Lol

check the specs of the HP here.

The airbrushes used in the Archtung Hobby are all modded to single-action, where the air will always be flowing out from the nozzle, you will just need to pull the trigger to do the spraying. It is different from the double-action airbrushes where you will need to "press and pull" the trigger to control the air and paint flowing out. That's why you will hear the hissing sound.

Btw, I'm also using HP 40 at home too.

Hi Great, how is your comments on the HP 40 that u r using. I will most likely be supplying double action AB for using so will it be a problem with the fish comp? The one I am buying is the 80 and it will still cost afew hundred bucks. Dont have too much cash to throw in the workshop man. Em58

So far so good, cos this compressor is not that bulky, silent and affordable. Since it is a fish pump comp, can be operate for long hours and maintenance-free too. So far, I still have not encountered "Merlion" when I'm operate it during raining days. Although the PSI is low as compared to other compressors, but it sufficient for me to do spraying. Well, these are just my 2 cents..
hi guys how much the HP 40 ah?Happens to be searching for a pump for me fish tank after my current one spoilt... Can buy 1 thing for 2 hobbies...GoGoGo
