Hi,

Does anyone know if there are any difference between the two kits? I mean, apart from the ballute pack? The one with the ballute pack seems to be cheaper than the one without...

Thanks.
Gold coating...the older n more expensive version is special coated with gold colour. the ballute pack wan is yellow in colour. not special gold coating.
Ok. But in most cases, people will rip off the gold and re-paint right?
seam lines, I haven't found a way to deal with the seam lines for the gold plating kits. Maybe the rest of the guys can enlighten you , if removing seamlines without the gold plating will be possible.

Check out http://www.dalong.net , you will be able to see the difference.

What?
No lah, there are lots of us out there who like the bling-bling look, I think.

You gotta want a custom colour scheme pretty badly to take the trouble to strip off the chrome and prepare the underlying plastic nicely ... haven't really seen a whole lot of Hyakushiki customs on the Net lei ... although that might change with the new unplated version available.
love the bling bling, but hate the seam lines and the stubs.
Main difference is that the Ballute pack backpack wings are much longer, since it is required to hold the ballute pack, but you still can attach it to the original Gold Plating version, but alas, looks constipated.

Another thing is the gold plating, the original is a gold plated chrome texture, while the Ballute pack has a banana yellow plastic, with the pack of course.
I think the ballute system HS is more worth while than the gold-plated HS.
Think of the effort to strip the chrome,
furthermore, with good paint, the ballute pack will look great! Em58
1 other difference. The one with Ballute pack, there are options to build it with and without the ballute pack. Some extra parts are the different backpack mounting system for the ballute system and the additional outter leg armour with the hole to mount the leg thrusters.

In short, only if you do not wish to paint your kits and just snap them together(strictly taboo here) will you buy the plated kit.
Ok ok... Thanks... Sounds like the ballute pack it is...
