I am wondering anyone have experience using nakamoto gloss? I tried it , and I couldn't really achieve the really reflective surface effect? Em115

Thus I am wondering if it's able to hold the decal in place. I am using waterslide, first time using waterslide, so dun want to screw it up , cause I am sending this piece for the seed compy.

Anyone can help?Em115
Reflective effect? I suppose you didnt spray the gloss very near to the kit.

Nakamoto says that the gloss will dry up very fast in contact with air, so you cannot use the normal distance range for painting, must be a lot more closer, and you have to look carefully, once it turns a bit wet, you can stop and move on to other places, otherwise the gloss will overfill the area and start dripping.

And yes, its very glossy, so it will hold the decals in place.
how long is the drying time for the gloss kira?

I am suspecting that he gave me a matt coat !!!!! Yup , I sprayed it wet liao but not glossy leh. Will try decaling tom. hope it's okie.
Drying time? You mean when its sprayed out? Sprayed out, its quite fast, Im not sure why too, theres once I kanna those kind of floss thingy.

But after spraying it, put the parts inside a airtight container, for about 1 whole day, should be enough for the gloss to dry up.
So far I left it for about 4- 5 hours, no finger prints Em58

Is there any way to patch up silvering if it happens?

As I see some air bubbles in my decals , not much but a little, first time doing waterslide lah , and no mr mark softener, time for some more investments Blood0ni (this hobby is making me broke )!
Silvering can be remedied, in limited ways, but using another gloss coat. First you use a fine needle to poke holes around the area where silvering occurs, then spray 2-3 layers of gloss coat to snuggle the decal down. Leave to set for at least 48 hours.
thanks for all your help G. Hope that no silvering will occur , as over the weekend , I will give it a matt coat, and then pastelling and glue it to the base.
