I think we have met a few in our life during shopping trips, where the employees at the shops bullshit something or talk about rumour and presumed it to be true. Met them before?
I have a few, one is during a model shopping trip somewhere in the central, and then this employee sees my friend looking around the kit and then started chatting with him(We were holding bags of kits, from Nakamoto) and they started chatting.
Then from the chatting, I catch a few words, or setences that caught my attention, he was saying that the MG Hyaku Shiki(Ballute pack) will most probably be taken off the shelves because Ver 2 is coming out next month. Now if you know, that is bullshit.I was about to ask him of his source when they moved on to tools and etc, where he started saying that only Tamiya and other famous brand tools are good for the kits, the others at hardware store will damage your kit.
If you asked me, I was already having this
face at him, and he continued on trying to teach my friend here a little few about sanding methods
"Ohhh!!! You use sandpaper to sand lah! Then this sandpaper ah! Must get 2000grit one, cos it will smooth out your workpiece and all."
Really wtf. I couldnt stand it anymore, and corrected him, but he remains on his position that his method is right, so I got nothing to say, and then later told my friend whether he wants to believe his words or the website I gave him words, its his own problem.
Another shopping trip, this time in a gameshop, this guy here is just plain..... I don't know what to say at all. He was telling me that only US-NTSC games are the legit versions, and those Japanese and Pal versions are copies of the game. So when I asked him about how games were released in Japan first, he goes
"Oh, thats because those Japan people liscened the USA version first, so they released it first."
After that coversation, I made a decission never to step into the shop again, even though it got the supply of friendly games I wanted.
