Hi guys, upcoming kit for the comp, being holding off posting pics because Im not sure about the rules at that time until being clarified by Seiya and the others. Thanks again guys.

Started this since I know of the compeition, and pouring in at least 1 or 2 hours a day, and I still consider myself as quite slow.

I spend the first few weeks on designing and adding ideas and making lists on the to do, heres only a few pages that I have taken pics of, Now the book is almost half a exercise book thick....

Thought of using pla plates to lengthen the legs at first, but in the end I didnt go with it, heres a picture I drew to outline the legs and see how far I can lengthen.

The few pics above are what I intended to do, a ball joint in the waist area. I started out by gutting almost everything out, using my cutters and files(No dremel.....) So its kinda a tough process. After sanding and all, I proceed to fill the base with Mori mori, and then started place the PC cap in it, before I filled up the whole thing with Mori Mori.
Big-eyes:big-eyes:Wah sei you sure do lots of homework....nice progress so farEm36
WA..got planning!! Wink-winkWink-winkWink-wink

Be careful of the ball joint with the mori mori.. it may pop out as i kanna too many a time... Blood0ni

To do a full 180 bend on the arm, I have to get additional materials, got this set of T-shaft from Storm Domain at $9.50 Expensive but worth it. It was the smallest I can get for my Destiny, and I cant find the smallest L joint at there.

Done the mori mori on the shoulder area after it left a huge gap. Then I saw off the pieces.

Drill a hole on the peg corresponding to the T shaft itself, then I tried to insert it, still a little loose, so I putty the area before inserting it again.

As for the T shaft and the center arm, what I do is that since the T-shaft cannot be slotted directly into the piece, I have to saw off the portion, I saw a little less that what I need to, and file it down, so that I don't get a overly loose joint. And for the pink areas, its actually the peg that connects the lower arm, again I drill a through hole on the peg of the leftovers of the spruce tree and then inserted in, and apply cement so it stays on forever.

Heres what it can do after the mods.

Side by side comparisons of the original and the after mods.

More to come in the next 2 post.
Back to torso area, an area that is almost a plague.

The ball joint is gotten from the leftover HG 1/144 Blitz leg joint when I was still a snapper back then. using that, I drill a little hole, and insert the thing into mori mori base again, before puttying up the sides. Nice idea right? But sadly, it didnt worked out what I wanted

PIAK! And off it went when I tried to piece the torso to the waist, and I know FOOK, die, I spend a lot of time trying to get the stupid ball joint out, and in the process ruin the PC cap too, without much of a choice I have to dig the PC cap out and go back to studying tables to think of a way.

A piece of the gut out internals, after removing the PC caps and left the Mori Mori in it.

Theres a lot of thinking in the process, and I also think of the options of getting a new kit to do back the waist if I still cannot think of anything..

So I was looking around on webs one day, then I noticed something about MKII Ver 2, it has this ball joint on the waist, so I was like thinking... maybe I can do that too, but the Destiny waist isnt deep enough to support the hollow waist so I look at the torso, and then immdiately I saw an idea, all I need is to reverse the position. And so off I did it.

Sawed off the damn peg, (Kotobukiya Micro Saws ROXXORZ!) and drill a hole down the waist, and not to mention, theres plenty of space inside the waist, a 3mm rod can be inserted in fully.(Now that sounds pretty wrong if you take it out of context)

Again, I cut off from the spruce tree, this time from the PC cap then I took the left over ball join from the Gouf Ignited I have done, and inserted the spruce into the ball joint, fits snugly.

Insert the spruce into the hall, fits is quite good, though Im still concerned about the ball getting stucked in the Mori Mori again.

Using Epxoy putty, I knead a small one, then with plenty of water I stuff the epoxy inside, so after it dries, the peg cannot be take out anymore.

Using the remains of the epoxy putty, I also knead it into the torso area, and using a stick with the another ball joint and the water dipped in it, I proceed to mold the shape inside the torso. At first the putty keeps sticking onto the ball when it came out, but after a while, it starts to form shape. I will take a pic of it when Im free to take pictures again....(Its being done long time, just that I forget to took it...)

I always know that whenever I start a new project, it will get very messy on the table, but never has my table being THAT messy.... A lot of things and all...

Shoulder armor with puttying up.

After adding pla plates on the opening, I kinda regreted not drilling a hole before then, because now its quite hard to do it, make a mistake once, so I have to redo the shoulder plates again, I also shampfered the sides.

Now onto the feet, as usual, the thought of adding pla plate to lengthen the feet doesnt works, so instead I have to use epoxy again.

I shaped the feet first, and all, using a combination of my fingers and knife blade dap with a lot of water, Then I let it dry before I continue anything o it.

After it dried, I started sanding, again, I use a very rough grit file to file down the excess before using smooth file to file the finer areas, and then using combination of 600 and 1000 grit sandpaper to further sand down.

The left is after and right is before.

Comparions from the side.

The chest piece, as usual, fill up the seams and all, and the collars too, the collars are much harder because its quite small and there are obvious seams in it, though you cant see it after it has the head, but still....

Lengthening the leg, first I measured and marked the areas need to saw.

Then I saw it off.

Then I add 3mm pla plates into it, I achieve the 3mm by placing 1mm pla plates on top of each other.

As you can see, I added numbers on the tigh area, the numbers are to tie in with the sides, so that I don't get the order wrong and place the leg on the other tigh when I added the pla plates, and not to mention, placing it on the wrong area.......

Then I proceed to sand down the leg, then Mori Mori it again to cover up any gaps.

A little off topic here, but as users of Mori Mori know, the smell it left behind is something to behold of, So I bought this cheapo 3 for 1 air refreshner and place it at the corner of the table to refresh the room after every Mori session

Placed inside the sticks stand area, and an added bonus is that it can be open and closed, so I don't waste too much of it.

Added some details with pla plate on the shield, Feels that the shield, or Destiny itself, is VERY PLAIN.

Another thing I done is the leg on the pegs, but that is history considering the leg now is being busted and I need to get a new one, but figured might as well post it here.

As you can see, the lower joint area broke off when I was trying to insert my peg, (Is this happening to others too? Cos seiya also had this problem.) And so I have to do epoxy on the joint, as usual, water a lot, and press down a mark in it.

The after effects, the joint is as good as new after the epoxy session, and I made it even better by placing a small amount of blu tack so it makes it much more sturdy.
After the waist mods, heres what the waist can do.

Sidewards.

Backwards.

As usual, I added a small amount of blu tack inside so that it causes more friction, as long it didnt pokes out or anything, its ok.

A test fit, though these pictures are quite long ago.

So thats it for updates for now, I will try to update this thread asap, and I realised that a lot of pics are quite old and not updated because I have already finished sanding down most things and adding details...

Will try to update pics after next week...

Thanks again for lookingEm58
