My mom mentioned that the new KK hospital is situated on an old cemetry ground with a KFC was beside it (also demolished to make way for the new hospital).

When the garment cleared the cemetry to build the new KK, japanese bombs from WWII and living corpses ("Yang Shi") were found.

My mom told me they were called "yang shi" because they corpses didnt decompose over time.

Question for the forum is; can anyone back me up with facts on this story? Especially the 'living corpse' part of the story?

If those living corpses did exist, what happened to them and why are there such corpses in the first place?
Didn't decompose means Mummy?

i dont think is call mummy just some body that does not decompose maybe just look almost like a living person.

i think if the body are well keep form soil, there a chance that the cell in the body can still grow. The only thing i heard that is true is the hair & nail can still grow in a died body. just like a vampire always with long hair and nails
Yes I heard of the fact that even after a person dies, his hair and nails will continue to grow, but my mom said that the corpses buried in that cementry has been dead for many years, yet when they were dug up, there was little or no decomposition.

I am look for newspaper or anyone who has heard about this story.
Maybe the Singapore Paranormal Investigators can help.

They're pretty knowledgeable in this field. Their forums need registering though if you want to see anything.

PS, I hate mummies.
Don't know about the cemetary but I remember the KFC.It was located at the traffic junction.
