@max, is that the CK-5? How much did you buy it for? I used to have a pair of those too, Thought that they were ok until i changed to another brand...

The person selling it oso told me that Audio Technica ones have less bass compared to other brands. I'm currently looking for one to replace my spoilt earphones too, dunno which one to buy now.

ATH CK-52.. Challenger S$47....

Ya.. Sony and Philips sounds better than this man........ no $$ for Shure though Toungue
I have been using this brand of earphones called 'Crossroads' and they are really bang for the buck. Seriously they are GOOD.

Some info here : http://www.anythingbutipod.com/archives/...review.php

I bought them from a shop in Aldelphi 4th floor. Name of the shop is 'Jaben' iirc. It cost less than S$70, but mine is the previous version, not sure what the new model cost.

Cheers! Toungue

Yes, the boss is very frenly guy, and my first pair of X3 also came apart due to the bonding not strong (or my ear wax too acidic?) and he replaced it free of charge, heck he didnt even ask for my reciept to verify.

Honestly when I first plug it into my iPod, I noticed instantly the difference in sound quality and bought them straight away. After 30-40hrs of playtime the earphones sound even better. I am still using them daily after more than a year.

But I have to add that "sound quality" is very subjective as everyone of us has our own opinion how music should sound like, so my advice is to bring your own iPod and headphones over there and do comparison before you buy. By testing with music you listen to everytime, you should be able to tell the difference. If no difference leh? Then save your money for models Toungue

There are two versions, XB has more bass, and the other one more treble definition imho, so it down to personal taste which one is better. The shop carries other earphone brands but for me, the Crossroads are good value.

Cheers!

My benchmark now is Lion (ライオン, Lion?) by May'n and Megumi Nakajima

Any earphone that make the song sounds hollow will be used as wiring and parts spares for modeling. LolLolLol
Hi im currently distributing Philips earphones. I recommend SHE9700 (Retail price $59). I have a sample unit with mi. if any1 need to test it just let me know. Thanks. Lol
