Thanks fellas!

I just finished the weapons and here they are now. I have still have to do poses with this one as I have yet to acquire an action base. I do think that there will be too few poses it can do if it is just standing on the ground.

I simulated wear and tear on the coating of the blades to give it an impression that it cut through a few Leos ^^;

The knife gets the same weathering

Here's a photo comparison at how much different the Sandrock looks now compared to its original form.Wink-wink

It's just drybrushed enamel chrome silver.Wink-wink
It is ok to describe what you did for the sword? Perhaps in more details? PLEASE!! Bao_18

Sure! here it is:

1) Painted the whole weapon with TS-6 Matt Black (Tamiya spray can).
2) Masked off the blade and grip areas and painted over the unmasked parts with a custom mix of Dark gray.
3) Applied black wash and used a thinner moistened cotton swab to the dried wash to simulate grime/oil effect and then applied the decals (I know the decals should've been first but I had a memory lapse on this oneLol).
4) Applied an overall flat coat.
5) Using Tamiya enamel chrome silver, I painted the edges first using a thin brush.
6) Using the same paint, I drybrushed the edge of blade where there will be most likely heavy wear (the outward curves) using a criss-cross stroke to simulate a hack-and-slash motion in the use of a blade.

Hope that helpsEm58
