Seeing the very nice boxart + aggressor scheme of this HobbyBoss F-15C.. I couldn't resist

On with the kit.



Instructions! Fwah... so simple!!



The paint scheme:



Comes in 5 packs only.



How you know it is an easy build? By looking at this!



Closer look, the panel lines are crisp.



Canopy very clear, no molding lines



Decal sheet, nice and thin.



No turkey feather exhaust here unlike the Academy 1/72 kit that comes with 2 options.



Cockpit a bit bare. It is for the AMS experts to come in liao!.





Less than 15mins later.
FITTING IS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.


Would need to detail up the back space as it is VERY empty for the single seater option.



Conclusion: It does offers a nice and fast build in general. But you would need some scratch building or aftermarket stuffs to detail up the basic kit. The kit also does not come with it drop bombs and aresenals.. so you may want to get the Hasegawa Weapon Set.
Overall I like the fast build it offers and the superb fittings. As for accuracy of the kit..I will leave that to the AMS pple.

Oooooh, only own the 1/72 TA-7C. I must say, this looks to be a fun build.

Yeah, good for those quickie builds in-between the AMS projects


Then again, looking at the paint scheme, maybe not so quick.

But, the simpler construction phase makes getting to the painting stage quicker.

the seats are not the ACESII seats used by the USAF. in fact, they look like russian ejection seats. where is the head rest?

no weapons!

cockpit canopy seems a bit oversized.

entire underside is wrong. the 2 engine fairings should be more angular, not so rounded edge. otherwise how to put the sparrow!
edit - also, it doesnt taper off from front to back, but remains parallel to the axis of the aircraft all the way. horriboss has it done thick at the intake area and thin at the exhaust.

kit comes with cft, but no attachment pylons for the bombs that hang off it..

the tail area where the fuselage sides blend into the elevator slabs is oversized. the real thing, as well as academy and hasegawa, are much slimmer.

i don't know about the fitting but from the pics they look ok, especially since the tp and bottom halfs already done for you. but from experience, HorriBoss lives ups to its name sometimes. hhaa.

i will still wait for their f-16s though..
