Has anyone in the forum build a fake Bandai Gundam kit before? I was taking of using the kit on a transkit by neo grade, this will be more cost effective?
if u ever wanted to get a fake kit, get it for the sake of parts for kitbash or etc.. save time to scratch build
as expected there will be alot of fitting problem, inferior plastic strength, flashes and nightmare sinkholes..
nonetheless, this still can be corrected.
however, making use of the internal frame as conversion kit is deadly.
1) cheap plastic making the internal frame flimsy and render it useless. ur conversion kit need a sturdy frame to support those enormous resins that will be heavy
2) expect fitting problems, this mean u might even have to put extra effort to those conversion resin parts to get it fit into those fake internal frames
3) if u already make up ur mind to spend on conversion kits, why still bother to get a cheap imitation
anyway, i did finished up a bootleg nu

not gonna do one again

I got hold of an 08th MS Team GM Sniper 'Bendi' kit a while back to use for a test project where I was going to do severe battle damage to it. It cost me next to nothing, thankfully, as it turned out to be utter crap. I couldn't do anything with it at all.
Never again will I buy crap like that - you can't do anything with them at all.

Just my personal opinion, but the Neograde should be quite exp right? Why waste it on a fake bandai kit?
I mean you would probably only do this project once, why waste it on a fake? It would make sense if the quality between fake and original is "close". But why take the chance? If you wind up not liking the fake, you have to spend more to get the original. Not to mention the wasted time and effort.
Hope you don't mind my comments.
hahaha...I barely managed to build a fake bandai Keroro Gunso. My wife bought it from you-know-where. I told here not to do it again. The next moment I see she had bought the Giroro Robo.
So much agrivation from so little parts, I'd swear the fake MGs are unbuildable.
Frankly fake bandai is good for kit bash or spare parts or those who wish to do a major modding but too afraid to try on the real bandai
I have build lots of fake bandai and shared it in forums. Though it was fun in a sick sense, I have now moved to bandai to enjoy true modelling experience...

i agree with ryu :/ spare parts that either needs to be touched up or reinforced by wires or epoxy >___>
or the combination of talcum powder and crazy glue
