Wow!!! Magnet!!! Great ideal!!!!
I look forward to this even though I know almost next to nothing about Macross.
More WIP pics pls.. Me also half way or rather not even half way building it...

BTW Max, got 2 question...

1) I saw you using the rubberband to hold the forward radome or wat u call it. Was it to hold it AFTER you use the cement (Tamiya Extra thin/normal cement)? Or its juz there to hold it nia?

2) You have already replied to my personal PM regarding the canopy seamline or mouldline...Maybe you can take this opportunity to give a detail here again to benefit all of us?

Juz my cents only la...Keep roaring your engines man!

1) The rubber band is to hold it in place AFTER I cement it, I dont want the the parts to come apart while the cement cure. I use Tamiya Normal Cement.

2) I should have taken pics of how to remove the mold line in between the canopy.. Cold0wjCold0wj
Here's what I did

a) Grit 600 to sand away the mold line
b) Grit 1000 to wet sand the surface
c) Compound the Surface
d) Wash it
e) Dip it in KLEAR
f) Remove the pooling
g) Wait about 1 hour, Repeat (e), (f)
h) Let cure for 1 week before touching.. (I KS)
Once the whole plane is built with the fastpacks, it's gonna be very heavy so be very careful with the wheels. (it's only 3 very thin contact points to support the whole weight).

If u plan the retract the wheels, then it'll be easier to fill the hollows with putty or pla plate, then cover them up with the wheel covers (which you'll need to join seperately to form a nice rectangle)
Will be in flight mode, no wheels Smile Smiles9wcSmiles9wcSmiles9wc
