bought this academy f-15e last week. my 4th academy eagle kit, and my 6th 1/72. considered this kit for very long as wanted alot of spares for my other nest of eagles, which were losing parts.

Then i decide it became a time to altitude attack, macham streak eagle project...

super easy kit, no need to look at instructions, no care about Superdetailing and All Must Sui-sui (A.M.S.)

i decided to paint it in 65th aggressor squadron markings, famous for playing adversary role in Red Flag exercises. nevermind that i don't have the correct tailcodes and squadron markings for the exact aircraft. if it looks good it looks good enough.


10.20 am the box is opened

small placard strip added to airbrake housing to prevent airbrake fro sinking when glued later

5.45 pm fuselage clips removed, putty party

6.55pm, primer coat with tamiya sky grey

7.10pm, black mask for 'W' on tail

7.55pm, dark blue bands sprayed

9.15 pm, first masking templates up

9.35pm, light blue areas are go. i felt it would be easier to do the spraying in steps rather than 1 shot, as it would make a mess to hold.

Part 2, hmm. the inflight stands, and a dozen laser guided bombs for the K, SG and IAF. anyone has 2 python3 missiles to spare? hehe.
Wow, I admired your determination to get the eagle up and flying. Champion.
