hi guys! wow!you guys work very very fast!!..just like to thank Maxwinamp and Plamo for this very generous groupbuild invitation, and its really an honour to be with the masters of gunpla!!Lol thanks a lot guys!! sorry if im very late for this build..i hope i can keep up with the phase..anyway..
i recently got my NG 1/100 exia last dec.26, 2007 from my godson's prize last BAKUC 2007..heheheh..he gave it to me. just snap built it last dec. 30, 2007, had to say that this kit has that MGish feel and the kneeling posture is great, but certain areas of proportion doesnt fit my taste.
heres the pic of my exia :

i still have no idea what my kit would look like, but i want it in close combat action.making it a bit muscular but yet articulated.
in my usual routine i want to modify certain areas. Most of it would be articulation and details. it lacks that menacing posture..hehehe..as for the colour scheme i will go with gray-dark grey with accent scheme.

so far here is what i have done :

[Image: th_CIMG7455.jpg][Image: th_CIMG7456.jpg]
[Image: th_CIMG7457.jpg][Image: th_CIMG7458.jpg]
[Image: th_CIMG7459.jpg][Image: th_CIMG7460.jpg]

i got this scrap mg mk ii shoulder armours and placed it as his shoulder, imo the shoulder of the exia is a bit wide for me making it broad? hehehhe..i dunno. i then cut away some plastic, sanded it then re shape that thingie that hinders the shoulder from bending upward. this is not finished yet, just want to cope up with the masters of the groupbuild.
Okay. as for the torso part..i done my own research and experiement i know many of of us done this but this my version. Its kinda hard to modify the exia's torso part because of the thick plastic build up, its hard to cut. but anyway, i've managed to cut it and got the result i want. though its still in the progress stage, a lot to be done.. internal details so it would look beefy inside, some hydraulic details and msg would do the trick.

heres what i have done so far:

[Image: th_CIMG7466.jpg][Image: th_CIMG7467.jpg]
[Image: th_CIMG7468.jpg][Image: th_CIMG7469.jpg]
[Image: th_CIMG7470.jpg][Image: th_CIMG7471.jpg]
[Image: th_CIMG7472.jpg][Image: th_CIMG7473.jpg]

i used a lot of epoxy clay for the bracing, a broken zaku leg peg for that structural bracketing and a lot of trial and error. its important to look for the axis of rotation of the ball joint to maximize movement, hence still needs a lot of improvement
Woooooo!!!! Finally you start on your EXIA!!

Keep it up!!! Bao_32
