Hiya guys!!! Newbie here!!! :D

Have been hanging around in this forum since last December but i was busy with some other stuff until just recently that i can work on a new kit. WOOB2 seems like fun so i decide to jump into the fray!!! :D

Should have posted this WIP earlier but there seems to be some trouble uploading photos to my photobucket account. The connection has recover abit so i can upload my pics and start my WIP thread! Toungue

May i present to you all the MS-05B Zaku I Black Trinity. :D

I remember someone doing the same kit. If we have another kit we might be able to do a group build. Toungue

This is one of the oldest MG kit that i owned but never thought that it has so little spruce/tree compare to the newer kit that i have. Toungue

All male connection snapped for the test fitting.

I like to build my kits from the bottom up so I usually start it with the leg part. Spent around 48 minutes on the right leg.

I am not sure about you guys but i hate reading the manual and at the same time go through all the spruce to find the correct part. So for the left leg, i cut all the parts from the spruces in 1 go. Guess what??? It takes me only 42 minutes to assemble the left leg. :D

Both legs took me a total of 1 hour 30 mins. Toungue That is alot.

Thats all for now. Later! :D
Great to see you join in the posting and leave the lurker status!
I usually do bots from the head down... I actually really hate doing legs..
cyberwill75: I am active in some other forum. I thought i will give this forum some time to prepare themself before i start my invasion plan de arimasu. :D

Close-up pic.

Spend exactly 1 hour building the frame of the body. Did i mentioned that this is my first mono eye kit? It was really refreshing and it feels different from all the other kits i have done recently. The arm connector is kinda unique too in my opinion.

As simple as it seems, both the arms took me 1 hour to complete!!! Toungue And i thought this is going to be a walk in the park. I was wondering why there is only a shoulder guard on 1 arm and not the other? Makes you wonder...

Thats all for now. :D Open for suggestion, critique, feedback, etc. :D
The Zaku I predates the Zaku II, that's why it looks kinda like an incomplete Zaku II.

Otherwise, progress looks good so far!
Yeah Zaku 1 is like a grand daddy for all those mono eye out there. Toungue

More updates on my snapfit progress. :D

Took another 1 hour to snap those body armour into the chassis. I love those detail in the backpack but to bad, the armour covers almost every inch of it. Sad

Took another 45 mins to complete the head. :D Mono eye head is alot more fun and complicated to build compare to gundam. Toungue

Tadaa!!! Zaku 1 reporting for duty!!! :D The whole kit took around 5 hours 15 minutes to snapfit. :O It took me more time than i expect. Toungue

That is all for now later guys! :D
i like to build from bottom up oso Lol at least i'm not alone~~~
looking good .. looking good.. bro.. add oil... ZoomZoom
fang: Guess i am not the only one then. Lol
oldman: Thanks for ur support again. Zoom

More updates!

Did some scribing over the week. One thing i like about this kit is that it has a healthy amount of panel line. Infact it has the most panel line on the kits that i have build this far. So no need to scribe alot of new panel line!!! Lol

Removing seamline is a tiring job. Not only that you have to apply putty over it. Later u need to sand it down.

The arm on the left shows the part puttied while the one on the right shows the excessive putty sanded down.

Most of the seamline is removed in this pic except the one on the head and the one dividing the leg armour.

After all that, i have some time with me so i go over those extra gimmicks that comes with the kit which i may apply here.

I found some interesting part among all those tree/spruce. It is the armour that was supposed to cover the backpack along with some hose.

Tried it on the kit and it looks great!!! Lol The first pic shows the zaku with the original backpack while the second pic shows the zaku with the other extra armour that comes with the kit. I wont have to worry about the plain looking backpack anymore!

Well that is all for now! Any kind of input is welcome!
wahh... got extra detailing parts some more ?? Toungue Not bad...The backpack extra armour really look good on it Smile

But wondering , ah ... ?? Why scribe the lines before you sand off the putty ? Shouldn't sanding will damage the lines later ?
the extra backpack cover and pipe are for Zaku II. btw, what putty you use ah ? how come white color de ?!
