First completed kit for 2007 Wink-wink
Most problematic was the decal fixing and many of them were even damaged by the clear coat Blood0ni Cry0ef

Cars with alot of decals r usually pretty hard to handle. Nevertheless, u did very well with your engine and it is really veri nice. Smiles9wc
Good build and paint job. Wink-wink
Not glossy enough though.. Em01 Em120

Just 1 Qns:

You mentioned the gloss ruined your decals. What was the damage like?
The decals shrivelled and tore off leaving gaps in several areas.

Initially I sprayed didn't notice anything wrong. After it dried found the missing patches. Cold0wj

I was using the clear from can spray. Wonder if it will not affect the decals if was done from airbrush.

Usually after the decals, i airbrush a layer of gloss.. THEN use the spray can and spray thick thick Em01
quite a gd build especially the engine parts.:em58:somemore so many big big decals. must be a headache.

last time i also used can spray on my evo 7. also spray on like normal. den hor, 5 mins come back to my horror almost all the decal started shrivelling and in short wasted.shock think ur case very gd le. i learnt from last time the hobby shop at tampines 201(think hobby hut) tat i probably didn't leave it long enough to dry. at least 3 days for those car decals. also cannot spray too thick also. must mist mist thin layers. so airbrushing should be better. jus sharing my 2 cent.Smiles9wc
max n link: thanks for yr tips

the decals were placed almost a week ago so should not be the drying problem.

most probably is the clear spray then.
will try to spray from airbrush first next time

the painting & decaling guide did state be careful when applying clear coats over the decals Cold0wj
One more cool tip!

Notice the 'white' standing out from the edge of those clear parts after u place them?? Blood0ni

Paint the edges black and glue it to the body. Wink-wink

Yup. The engine is all painted.
I did the painting before assembly so that there is less masking.
Some small black areas are painted using markers but the rest are all from airbrush.
