Hi guys.

I must first apologize for joining this group build really really late. So sorry, was held up with school work and projects. Now they are more or less cleared, I can resume building this.

Got this kit through V2hw a few weeks back, started it recently, was quite surprised to see that Fujimi is looking not too shabby for recent kits. But alas, still quite a few problems to tackle... Really bad problems.

On a side note, this is my favourite car, Im not really a sucker for big horse power cars, and RX-7 to me, is a very good dream car. And I especially like this version of RX-7, it seems like they took it from offical tourneys cars moddings to the streets, very cool indeed.

Side panel of the car, looks good, except for one small problem.

As you can see, once the bumpers are up, theres still gaps left behind, although a small problem that can be "not seen" but I feel very weird leaving it there. So a likely situation is to cover it up with pla plates.

Another problem, look at the front lights, very bad situation, it seems the front bumper cannot cover up the whole gap, its not that bad on the right side, but very bad on the left side. at least a 2mm gap at there, and the plastic clear cover cant cover up the gap.

A closer look at the gap.

And then, theres the clear plastic pieces looking like it just suffered some scratching by cats, though I didnt take any pics,(Camera batt died on me.)

Thats it for now, Im going to fix these problems before doing any painting on them first.Em115

Updates:

Just finished filling some sink holes, visible see through lines... and then some seamlines. Done a little sanding on the car chassis and etc, should be able to start painting the chassis and suspension, provided it doesnt rains...

Oh ya, I sorta thinned the putty quite a bit... don't really know whether its enough or not... Anyone can help me see from the pics whether its enough? It dried pretty fast though, about 45 mins to dry, but Im going to sand it tomorrow...

boyrun Going to continue tomorrow~ Till evening, then its to friend's house for Christmas Partyboyrun
From the pics, the putty looks about enough.. it will shrink a bit.
Usually i apply another layer once i see the seam again after the putty shrinks.
wah,gao gao putty.....sometimes when i apply too gao,it does dry but once i sand it...a large lump chips off.....must b the plastic surface too smooth liao hor
i like to use this Mr Dissolved Putty by Mr Hobby... quite different from regular putty in that its not grey, so when u sand it and it gets thin, it becomes hard to see, but the thing i like about it is that you can shave it with a knife without it chipping off, so u save on the sanding...
Hi guys,

It's being a long time since I updated it, nothing much happen, just that Im busy with school work and had to delay this, finally primered it just now in the afternoon(Before it rains, thank god!)

Sorry for the blur pics.

Only one problem found after the primering, which is pretty good... that means I have sucessfully removed all mold lines!

The car body kit is still not primered yet, cos Im still rescribing deeper lines so that they don disappear after primering.

That would be all I guess, going to paint them after I get back from school tomorrow.boyrun
