PLAMO: Re-WiredWolf - Plastic Modelling, Share & Learn

Had this kit for a while now and thought it'd be ideal for the OOB comp.

Test fit of the parts :



I had planned to have a deep orange colour as the main colour with blacks and greys as the less prominent ones. I started with a black base coat then added a light coating of Dark Copper over the top. I finished up with clear orange and instead of the nice, deep orange I had envisaged, I got a dark metallic brown.

Care to share some of the techniques to us? please?

I actually explained the way I painted the metallic color in my first post. It is simply a black base coat, second layer Tamiya 'Dark Copper' and top coated with Tamiya 'Clear Orange'.

Quick update :

Haven't had much time to work on the kit but I've finished the painting for now. All that is left is to gloss coat, apply decals and panel line.

I will post some pictures of what I'm up to on the weekend when I get a chance to do stuff.

As promised :

For the most part, I am up to detailing and decaling. I'm waiting for the Gouf water slides to come in the mail before I can go much further.

The sword was given a black base coat and the lower half coated with Chrome silver. The top half was then coated with Clear Red and then the bottom was coated with Clear Orange. My main aim was to give it a 'glowing hot' feel.

The Heat rod is simply Gun Metal with a Clear red coating - again trying to give a 'hot metal' feel. The tip was also coated with Chrome silver before the Clear Red was added.

Only a few things left now!

Update :



I have dry brushed light gray onto the black areas to highlight the angles and edges of these pieces.





I have also painted the outer thruster bells on back jet pack and the entire thrusters underneath the Gouf's feet. To simulate a burn effect, I have dry brushed with flat black and highlighted the deep internal areas of the thrusters with a black wash.
