Hi guys, reviewing movies I watched recently. They are The fast and the furious: Tokyo drift
Tokyo Drift
This series already spans 2 shows before it, with both being ok to watch, but defiantely needs to get improve on, because mostly are drag races and police chase, you know, typical Ang Mo types of racing.
Maybe Im a sucker for drifting, but I felt this show is better. In a sense that movie viewers are given a taste of girls and cars at the same time. Although this has being a staple for the franchise, its still good.
The characters have pretty much ok development, but Bow Wow is a bit on the irriating side, but he's able to pull off your typical sidekick style of person. The main character, Shaun, is a underage kid(Which I don't really get it because he looks old >_>) who has being invovled in street racing, got into troubles, and have to move to Japan to avoid jail time, which of course, got invovled into the local street racing scene. And he learns to drift.
Storywise, it has a balance of races, romances and character development, which is a bit rare in some of the movies. The main point of the show, is of course, the cars. Lots of eye candies here, from RX-8 to your Nissan Fairlady Z, all tuned to crazy proportions. Some cameos here, like the Sumo wrestler, Konishiki, Vin Diesel, to even the real life drift king Keiichi Tsuchiya. Nice additions.
My final conclusion? Girls, cars, and racings. Did I mention girls? Ya, go watch it if you are a car freak. 8/10
Scenes to watch out for:
-Human wall drift
-Sync drifting in a spiral moutain with 5 cars!
-Han Drifting in circles with a car in the middle
-Up the carpark spiral drift
