Curious on how you guys get the plastic off the trees and the spures off the pieces
I myself, graduated from plucking and twisting when I was about 12 . To nail cutter when I started modelling. Then to side way cutters,(bandai one) , and finally now to tamiya side way cutters from Nakamoto . Cost me 30 bucks !!!! But damn sharp and shiok to cut. One or 2 run through with blade, it's ready to sand . I highly reccomend it .

same haha, i twisted and plucked my way thru from 9 (iirc) then i used a scissors and nail cutter combo, and i bought a $10 bandai cutter last year , the cutter made life alot easier
I firstly use wire cutters....

Then to hobby cutter I bought from Orchard Shop at Specialist Centre $20++
Now... the cutter is time to retire.. but havent really go look for one.. as I usually cut before the spruce join the plastic and then use hobby knife to cut the rest off.

Still twisting and ripping like a noob...

I have VERY little patience and sometime I just ripped off the parts from their trees.

I know it always spoils the model but I just can't seem to help it...
I used to offer money to a friend so that he can assemble them for me coz I hate cutting them from the trees (luckily he likes assembling but hates sanding and painting)...
still using nail clippers wire cutters , craft knives and sand paper.
Speaking of cutters, u guys seen the sharp point tamiya side cutters before? Very well built, nice sharp point, but the price is horrendous man, 48 bucks sia...
I've been using $6 cutter bought from Carrefour since day 1.... cut and use pen-knife to cut the rest off... enjoying cutting more than sanding.

I used to twist and pluck it out when I was ard 12( that time i was mad abt those SD musha..too bad i threw most away as it was badly done and I have no heart to re-work it)
Then came the wire-cutters...went serious only after joining WW..Started to buy proper tools like bandai cutter, the lower range tamiya cutter, scribers etc..
By the way, I have used the sanding stone that came together with the Hasegawa tools to sharpen the edges of the Bandai cutters and it worked GREAT!
